11 Good Habits
Here is another list that is circulation on the internet: 11 good habits for improvisers:
- Agreement : everyone in the scene makes-believe the same reality
- Allow yourself to be emotionally altered (by the story, by your co-players)
- As a prerequisite to the previous one: be vulnerable, allow letting your guard down in order to be affected, altered
- Know stuff about your character
- Pantomime ( Object Work )
- Trust and support your partner(s)
- Be specific
- Commit
- Be honest (and the audience will believe you)
- Misbehave in a playful way (see Shivving and Pimping )
- Reincorporate specific elements from earlier in the performance
