Starting the scene with an offer that creates a problem of a conflict. Usually frowned upon. It is usually better to first establish a decent Platform ,so we know who the characters are, where they are, what their Status is, and how the relationships between them are define. After that, a Conflict can be dealt with far more interestingly.
