Something Old Something New

Description

An excellent group improv game to train listening skills. Taken from tho old wedding adage, "Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something blue."

5 players, one player - the bride, leaves the room. The remaining 4 players each get one of the following from the audience:

The idea is that player number 5, the Bride, needs to guess each of the 4 players items. Game ends when all 4 items have been guessed.

The players need to provide hints to the bride, but they cannot explicitly tell the bride what they are or what they have. Similar in essence to The Party .

Notes

Works best if players help the bride by providing hints as to the other characters items. The players can chose to "be" the item or simply have the item and try and present it to the bride only dropping hints. One example; Something old = Abacus, Something new = IPhone (new at time of writing), Something borrowed = Chainsaw, Something blue = Blue Whale. Very important that the 4 players (not the bride) pay attention to the other players items and are available to drop hints to help it along.
